Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Hyperlumes collects through hyperlumes.com and our contact form, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. Information about client projects we work on is also governed by the agreement we sign with each client.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Hyperlumes (“Hyperlumes”, “we”, “us”), a marketing and technology company located at 1875 Mission St Ste 103, San Francisco, CA 94103, United States. Hyperlumes is the business responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@hyperlumes.com or +1 (312) 285-8645.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use our contact form, email or call us, we collect what you choose to share, such as:
- your name and email address;
- your company name;
- your project budget range and the services you are interested in;
- details about your project, and anything else you include in your message;
- your phone number, if you call or give it to us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, some information is collected automatically:
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data needed to deliver and secure the site, such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of each request.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are visited, how long visits last, the approximate location (city or region) derived from your IP address, the type of device and browser used, and how you arrived at the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through this website, and we ask that you do not include it in messages to us.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- reply to your enquiry and discuss a potential project;
- provide our services, if you become a client;
- understand how the site is used so we can improve it;
- keep the site and our systems secure and prevent spam and abuse;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use the information you send through the contact form to add you to a marketing mailing list without your permission.
4. Cookies and analytics
The site itself does not need cookies to work. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visitors and sessions. The data is processed by Google on our behalf; you can read how Google uses it at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics on all websites with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not stop the site from working.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with:
- Service providers who process it on our behalf under contract — our website host and form processor (Netlify), our analytics provider (Google), and our email provider;
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, where needed;
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of Hyperlumes, our clients or others;
- A successor business, if Hyperlumes is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
6. How long we keep information
We keep enquiry messages for as long as we need them to respond and follow up — generally no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a client, in which case we keep project records for as long as the engagement and our legal, tax and accounting obligations require. Analytics data is kept according to the retention period set in Google Analytics. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.
7. How we protect information
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and access to enquiries is limited to the people at Hyperlumes who need it to respond. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the information we hold.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, give you a copy of it, correct it, or delete it. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.
California residents
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to:
- know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about them, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to;
- request deletion of their personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
In the past 12 months we have collected the categories of personal information described in section 2: identifiers (such as name, email address and IP address), commercial information you choose to share about your project, and internet or network activity (such as site usage data). We collect them from you directly and from your device, for the purposes described in section 3, and disclose them only to the categories of recipients described in section 5.
Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland
We process your information on the basis of our legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, running and securing the site), to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, to comply with legal obligations, and — for analytics cookies where the law requires it — your consent. You may also object to or restrict our processing, withdraw consent at any time, and complain to your local data protection authority. Our servers and service providers are located in the United States, so your information is transferred to and processed in the United States.
How to make a request
Email hello@hyperlumes.com or call +1 (312) 285-8645. We will need to verify your identity before acting on a request, usually by confirming details you have already given us. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask for proof of their authority. We respond within the time the law requires — for California requests, within 45 days.
9. Children
This site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
The site links to other websites, including our social media profiles and the websites of clients featured in our case studies. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make significant changes, we will make them clear on this page.
12. Contact us
