01 — The Requirement
Harper & Stone hadn't launched yet. They needed a name on a website and a mark on a business card before they could take a single meeting — and the first thing a prospective client would judge them on was whether they looked like they belonged in the room.
02 — The Challenge
Professional services clients rarely take a chance on someone who looks new. Every firm Harper & Stone would be pitched against had decades of case studies behind them and a logo old enough to feel unremarkable, in a good way.
03 — The Approach
Instead of trying to look bigger than they were, we leaned into restraint — a quiet, confident mark, editorial type, no stock photography or forced personality. Just a site that reads like it was made by people who don't need to shout.
04 — The Process
Identity and site were built side by side, not handed off in sequence. We tested type and color choices directly in the browser before locking anything down, because a palette that works on a mood board doesn't always survive a real screen.
05 — The Solution
The result is a mark and site that read as considered rather than corporate — built to hold up in a pitch room and on a phone screen alike.
06 — The Result
Harper & Stone can now sit across the table from firms three times their size without looking like the newer, smaller option.
